One balmy summer night in Virginia, three young people would get into one car, and each of their lives would irreparably end. This is a story of how life, fate and death collided that night; how a series of events led to a brutal conclusion.
Concert of Action is a documentary examining the murder mystery of Jennifer Evans, a 21 year-old promising pre-med student, visiting Virginia Beach as a tourist during a summer break in 1995. The local community, startled by her unexplained disappearance, frantically searched for the dean’s list student. Eight days after getting into that car, Jennifer Evans’ body would be found in woods 50 miles away. How did this kind and gentle young lady ‘s life end abandoned in the forest?
The suspects: Billy Joe Brown and Dustin Turner, elite Navy SEAL trainees, two young men from vastly different backgrounds who bonded through training, performance and danger; built as loyal and courageous killing machines to serve a greater good.
But sex, lies and arrogance would rust that bond, slowly decayed to reveal a greater truth. And tested with life’s ultimate challenge, how long would that bond endure? Would buddy become betrayer?
Three lives ruined by one act … one stolen, all lost, ended. Each had beauty, potential and the incalculable possibility of youth. And beside them stood the lingering presence of tragedy … looming, waiting.
Concert of Action tells a haunting story of bond, betrayal and redemption.
